Colours have been chosen to provide good contrast between text and backgrounds. We have avoided colour combinations that are known to cause difficulties for people with vision impairment.

Text size

Resizing text in Internet Explorer

If you are using Internet Explorer, you can change the font size by selecting the 'View' menu item and then selecting the 'Text Size' option. Internet Explorer offers five size options (largest, large, medium, smaller, smallest). When you change this setting it will be remembered for all web sites that you visit.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, you can hold down the CTRL key and press the plus (+) or minus (-) keys, which will increase or decrease the entire page.

Resizing text in Firefox

if you are using Firefox, you can change the font size by selecting the 'View' menu item and then selecting the 'Zoom' option. Unlike Internet Explorer, you are not limited to five sizes - you can continue to increase or decrease the text size as needed. Firefox users can also hold down the CTRL key and press the plus (+) and minus (-) keys to increase or decrease the layout size.

Resizing text in Apple Safari

If you are using Apple Safari, you can change the font size by selecting the 'View' menu item and then selecting either 'Zoom in', 'Zoom out' or 'Zoom text only'. These options let you increase or decrease the overall layout, or just the text size as needed. Safari users can also hold down the COMMAND key and press the plus (+) and minus (-) keys to increase or decrease the text size.
