The WCHM works in the ACT and surrounding region to improve and promote women's health and wellbeing.
The activities of the WCHM include community development, capacity building, research, and information provision and education. The WCHM also advocates for improved policy, program and service design for women in the ACT. It has played a major role in supporting many events, publications and exhibitions, including those relating to anniversaries of the national apology that was made to Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants in November 2009.
