The Australian Baptist Home Mission was the missionary arm of the Baptist Church in Australia. It first began mission work in Central and Northern Australia during the Second World War. In 1947 the first Baptist missionaries were sent to the Government settlement at Yuendumu. This practice was was repeated at Warrabri and Hooker Creek Native Settlement. In 1978 the Australian Baptist Home Mission became part of the Australian Baptist Missionary Society, who took over the responsibilities of the Baptist Home Mission.
