Conditional Access - Former residents (and their families) can contact the Heritage and Information Service at MacKillop Family Services to gain access to records. The Heritage and Information Service recommends people contact them through the Records Enquiry Form on the website.
The collection dates from 1888 until 1983 when the Christian Brothers stopped being a 'care provider'. The Christian Brothers collection contains admission registers from the Children's Homes run by the Christian Brothers and an admission register from the Subiaco Boys' Orphanage which had been run by the Benedictines and the Sisters of Mercy before the Christian Brothers took over. The admission registers are incomplete. There are also photographs in the collection, some of the photographs held in the collection identify the children pictured, but most do not. There are some other records.
In August 2019, these records were relocated from the Westcourt Archives in Perth to MacKillop Family Services in Victoria.
