The Sisters of Mercy, Gunnedah were responsible for the administration of St Patrick's Orphanage (later called St Patrick's Home and St Patrick's Homes) Armidale, 1919-84.
In December 2011 the Sisters of Mercy, Gunnedah Congregation became part of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy Australia and Papua New Guinea.
