The Sisters of Mercy, Wilcannia-Forbes Congregation ran St Anne's Home, Broken Hill from 1898-1941. This congregation amalgamated with the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea in 2011 and ceased to exist as an independent entity.
