Summary
UnitingCare Burnside is the name of the organisation that began as Burnside Presbyterian Orphan Homes in 1911, and became Burnside Presbyterian Homes, Burnside Homes and Burnside. It is based on the North Parramatta site, where Burnside Homes were first established.
UnitingCare Burnside is a member of the UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families Service Group of UnitingCare NSW/ACT. It is one of the largest providers of child and family services in New South Wales and in 2010 worked with 13,000 children, young people and family members.
UnitingCare Burnside holds the records of Burnside's various operations on the North Parramatta site, and of Burnside group homes and projects in and around Sydney.
