The Child Welfare (Amendment) Act 1969 was 'An Act relating to certain proceedings before children's courts, the execution of certain warrants and the transfer of persons between prisons and institutions; to provide for the care of wards and persons having the like status who travel or remove between States; to make further provision with respect to the religious teaching of wards; to establish a Welfare Services Training Council; for these and other purposes to amend the Child Welfare Act, 1939, the Parole of Prisoners Act, 1966, and certain other Acts'. It was a lengthy Act that contained a number of changes to the way Courts could act in transferring young people between homes, depots, juvenile justice centres, and other institutions. Further Amendments to court proceedings were added in 1977 and 1978. This Act was repealed by the Miscellaneous Acts (Community Welfare) Repeal and Amendment Act 1987.
