Marrickville Children's Residence was a Salvation Army children's home at George Street, Marrickville. When Bexley Boys' Home closed, the boys were transferred to this this home. Marrickville Children's Residence closed in 1982 and the children were transferred to Dulwich Hill Family Group Home.

Details

The building occupied by Marrickville Children's Residence was the same building that had been used for The Fold Girls' Home from 1940 until 1942.

Any records relating to children who were in care at Marrickville Children's Residence are probably interfiled with the records of Bexley Boys' Home, and perhaps the Dulwich Hill Family Group Home, to where the boys were transferred from George Street.
