Immigration Files is a series of records relating to child migrants who were placed in institutions in New South Wales. They comprise records such as correspondence between Commonwealth departments, relevant charitable institutions and State government departments, including the Immigration Division of the Chief Secretary's Department, the Department of Tourist Activities and the Treasury. The subjects dealt with are child migration to Australia and the funding of the hostels to house them.
