The Canterbury City Council Library Local History Photograph Collection contains thousands of images of the Canterbury local government area and is held by the City of Canterbury Library. The collection has been digitised and is available online as Pictorial Canterbury and via Trove. Pictorial Canterbury consists of six major collections of digitised images including the Protestant Federation Home collection, which contains images of people and buildings at the New South Wales Protestant Federation Children's Home.
Digital copies of the photographs are available online. Each image has individual copyright and acknowledgement instructions attached.
The smaller collection, Protestant Federation Home, consists of more than 160 group shots, portraits, building photographs and illuminated addresses from the New South Wales Protestant Federation Children's Home. Many of the subjects of the portraits from the Home have been identified.
Many of the photographs in this collection were donated to the Canterbury Bankstown City Library, or the Library was given access to their private photograph collections for copying.
