The Australian Red Cross was the parent body for the Junior Red Cross, which ran Cudgelo Junior Red Cross Home at Ramsgate (1925-1936), the Eleanor McKinnon Junior Red Cross Home (1945 to 1980s) and the Glen Mervyn Junior Red Cross Home at Randwick (1940s to 1980s). From the 1920s until the 1940s it ran Juong and Kippilaw in the Blue Mountains as homes for children from tuberculosis affected families, particularly those of ex-servicemen.
