The Care Leaver Records Access Unit was established around 2009 as part of Community Services, Department of Families and Community Services in New South Wales. The unit was designed to assist former state wards, people that were in foster care and anyone who spent time in a children's home access their records about their time in care.

Details

For the Care Leaver Records Access Unit to provide access to records held by Community Services, Department of Family and Community Services an application form must be completed. Another form must be completed to amend personal records held by Community Services.
