The Genealogical Society of the Northern Territory Inc. is a not for profit organisation managed by an Executive Committee. The Society has an extensive family history and general history reference library, staffed by volunteer members.
The Genealogical Society's library contains family history and general history resources. The staff can assist with family history research.
The Library's collection includes: almanacs and directories, bankruptcy, birth death and marriage, cemetery, census, church, convicts, court information, electoral rolls, evacuees, directories eg trade, lawyers, post office, family history, genealogy, funeral director's lists, headstones - photographs, inquests, land leases/transactions, local history, mining, newspaper indexes, pioneers, police, police journals, probate, military service, shipping - ships, crew and passengers, some listings of benevolent institutions, year books.
