Harrison Cottage Family Group Home, in Aspley, was operated by the Methodist and Uniting Churches. It opened 1 September 1960 and was licensed under The State Children Act 27 October 1960. Subsequently it was licensed under The Children's Services Act 4 August 1966. In June 1977, management was transferred to the newly-formed Uniting Church. The Home closed 16 January 1981 and its licence was surrendered 11 August 1981.
