Talera Lodge, in Greenslopes, was operated by Queensland Baptist Care. It opened November 1977 and was licensed 2 March 1978. Its funding ceased for a period from 1983, however it reopened in 1984/85. In January 1988, a change of function for Talera Lodge to non-residential services was approved. In August 1988, the Talera Centre Family Assessment and Therapy Centre opened on the site.
