The Handcuff Register is a record that was kept in Queensland government-run juvenile detention institutions. The Register records the name of each child who was escorted from the institution while wearing handcuffs. The date, time, name of escort, as well as the time when the handcuffs were removed are also recorded. Each entry was required to be signed by a staff member.
Access to some of these records is restricted to protect personal privacy.
