The Mareeba Children's Annex of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital was the new name given to Mareeba Babies' Hospital in 1960. Located in Woodville the Children's Annex of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital continued to care for sick infants and premature babies. The Annex closed in 1969. In 1992 the original building of the Mareeba Children's Annex became home to The Pregnancy Advisory Centre.
