Anglican Child Care Services was formed in 1978 and worked in conjunction with the Anglican Social Welfare Bureau. It oversaw all child care services provided by the Anglican Church and was responsible for the running of the remaining Anglican Homes for Children: St Mary's Home for Children, Farr House and Kennion House. In 1988 Anglican Child Care Services became part of Anglican Community Services.
