The Education Act 1851 (No 20 of 15 Vic, 1851) was passed and commenced on 2 January 1852. Its full title was: An Act to Promote Education in South Australia, by aid towards the Erection of Schools and the Payment of Stipends to Teachers. It was repealed by the Education Act 1875 on 12 October 1875.
