The Educational Lands Act 1881 (No 217 of 44 Vic, 1881) was passed and commenced on 18 November 1881. Its long title is 'An Act to consolidate and amend the Laws relating to the Dedication and Leasing of Lands granted for Educational Purposes'. It amended the Education Act 1875. Section 12 of the Educational Lands Act 1881 was repealed by the Crown Lands Act 1893. The entire Educational Lands Act 1881 was repealed by the Statute Law Revision Act 1936 on 8 October 1936.
