The Guardianship of Infants Act 1940 (Act No. 55/1940) commenced on 5 December 1940. It repealed the Guardianship of Infants Act 1887. Its full title was 'An Act to amend the law relating to the guardianship and custody of infants, and for other purposes'. The Principal Act is still current in February 2015.
The Guardianship of Infants Act 1940 was amended by Act No.116/1975, Act No.102/1984.
