The Statutes Amendment (Female Genital Mutilation and Child Protection) Act 1995 (Act No.24/1995) was passed on 27 April 1995 and commenced Ss 6&7: 1 May 1995; s 5: 27 April 1997. The Act amended the Criminal Law Consolidation Act 1935 and the Children's Protection Act 1993.
