The Maintenance Act (No.2) 1934 with the full title "An Act to amend the 'Maintenance Act 1921'"(Act no.25 Geo. V No.87) exempts people who do not comply with a maintenance order from punishment if the court believes non-compliance was not wilful or negligent. The individual in question is however still expected to meet the requirements of the maintenance order in the future. This act was repealed by Statute Law Revision Act 1934 (25 Geo. V No.78) on 31 May 1938.
