The Mental Hospitals Act 1960 also known as 'An Act to amend the Mental Hospitals Act 1858' (Act no. 35/1960) was repealed by The Mental Health Act 1963 (Act No.63/1963) on 3 December 1963. It contained provisions relating to cases where a person exhibits signs of 'insanity' while confined in prison.
