Laurie Humphreys was sent to Bindoon Boys' Town in September 1947, aged 14 years. He had come from Nazareth House Orphanage in Southampton. A Chip of What Block? tells the story of Laurie's life from his early years in the UK and as a child migrant in a new country, of his career and his own (large) family and of his journey to find out more about his roots in England.
