In this article in The West Australian, it is reported that 205 people who were at Fairbridge between 1930 and 1981 received a total of $1.1 million in ex-gratia payments from the Redress WA Scheme. The article says that this is the 'first time' that the 'full extent of sexual, physical and psychological abuse' at Fairbridge Farm School at Pinjarra has been made public.
Redress WA was the Western Australian government’s scheme to acknowledge and assist people who had suffered abuse in ‘care’. The scheme closed in 2011.
The website of the Old Fairbridgians gives information about the history of Fairbridge Farm School Pinjarra.
