Glandore Family Home began operating from 17 February 1972. It was established on the site of the Glandore Boy's Home prior to it closing down in February 1973. 'Family' homes provided the same style of care as cottage homes but accommodated a smaller number of children. In this home four children were in residence. It closed on 13 April 1979.
