Summary
Family and Youth Services was part of the 'super department', the Department of Human Services. This department was established when a number of government departments, including the Department for Family and Community Services, were amalgamated in 1998. It was replaced by Children, Youth and Family Services in a newly created Department for Families and Communities in 2004.
