The Correspondence Files, an archival series, are from the various government departments with responsibility for child welfare. There are items within this series relating to Tasmanian approved children's homes and government-run institutions for children.
Access is restricted for B75 years after the creation of the files because of the private information they contain. Closed records may be made available following application to the agency that created them.
