Kildonan Child and Family Services was established in 1993.
Its programs included family preservation, youth and family support including counselling, employment and social skills; preventative and early intervention services for children, youth and families; housing services including emergency, referral and community housing and specialist services including financial and relationship counselling.
In 2003, the agency ceased to provide residential care, and shifted to working with families at risk of contact with the child protection system, families who are in the early stages of such contact or are at the point of leaving the child protection system.
To reflect its partnership with UnitingCare Victoria and Tasmania Network, Kildonan Child and Family Services changed its name in July 2007 to Kildonan Uniting Care.
In 2007, Kildonan Uniting Care became the custodian of records of the programs run by Kildonan Child and Family Services.
