When Bexley Boys' Home was closed the remaining boys were transferred to the Marrickville Children's Residence. The Bexley site has been redeveloped by the Salvation Army as its Officer Training College and in 2014 contains the Salvation Army's Heritage Centre.
Bexley Boys' Home was mentioned in the Lost Innocents Report (2001) as an institution involved in the migration of children to Australia.
