The admission cards register the admission of inmates and note their name, admission date, date and place of birth, religion, IQ, name and occupation of father, mother's name, address of parents, phone number and boy's occupation. The cards also include the information: from whom received; the offence; how they were 'disposed of' and the date. In addition to this they give physical descriptions of the inmates and include notes on health and condition on admission, medical reports, and details of legal action faced by the inmate. An envelope attached to the back of the card holds other papers relating to the inmate.
There are two sequences of cards, the frist sequence are cards that are arranged by the year of birth of the inmate and then alphabetically by name, with the years of birth ranging from 1961 to 1971. The second sequence relates to those inmates that reached the age of 16. These are arranged alphabetically by surname, with the years of birth ranging from 1958 to 1964.
According to Connecting Kin (1998), there are 6 boxes of Admission Cards [Taldree Remand Centre].
