The Farm Home for Boys, Narara, was located 16 kilometres from Gosford at Narara on the former Forestry Training School site.
Boys were engaged in land clearing and vegetable cultivation for Gosford and Sydney children's homes. Some worked timber for the Forestry Commission. In 1934 boys were transferred back to Gosford and Narara became a state ward institution.
