People seeking access to records will need to send a letter and provide a photocopy of identification, such as a drivers' licence. The letter should state the years they were in the Home, and include a contact number.
The records held by the Northern Sydney Local Health Network Medical Records about Dalwood Children's Home are Day Books. The Day Books describe when a child entered Dalwood Children's Home, usually including a letter outlining the reasons why they were entering the Home, when a child visited someone and who they saw, medical and dental appointments, and health issues during their stay.
The majority of records in this collection are from the late 1960's onwards. There are only minimal, if any, records held from before then.
