Closed E75 years
E75 means that records in this series that have final entries less than 75 years old are closed to the general public. People wishing to access these records should contact Mental Health Services which is in the Department of Health and Human Services. Staff at the Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office may be able to assist you in finding other relevant records.
The Patient Files contain admission papers and other correspondence for patients admitted directly to Millbrook Rise Psychopathic Hospital. Lachlan Park patients transferred to Millbrook Rise usually kept their Lachlan Park file. These files only contain administration correspondence. All the clinical information in is the series entitled Patient Records Removed from Case Books.
The Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office website lists the names of patients whose records are on open access because they are more than 75 years old.
