The Community Services Act 1987 (Act no. 16/1987) was assented to on 12 May 1987. Its purpose was 'to change the title of the Community Welfare Services Act 1970 and of the Department of Community Welfare Services and make provisions concerning the Department's role', to make other amendments to the Community Services Act 1970 and in consequence, to other acts.
