The Find & Connect Support Service Western Australia ('Lanterns House') was established in February, 2013. It is part of the national network of Find & Connect Support Services, funded by the Australian government following the Apology to Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants in 2009. Find & Connect Lanterns provides services to Australian-born Forgotten Children and Former Child Migrants who spent time in foster homes, orphanages, children's homes or other 'care' institutions in Western Australia during the twentieth century.

Lanterns House is specifically equipped to provide support and assistance to people who want to
- obtain records of their time in 'care'
- trace their family
- access individual counselling and group support
- participate in social activities or simply drop in for a cuppa and a chat
- connect with other service and support organisations that may be able to help them at this time in their lives.
