The South Perth Hospital 'Our History' web page includes the 'SPH Documentary', a 9-minute video that gives some background to the development of the hospital that began as the South Perth Community Centre Hospital Inc in 1956. The video shows images of the hospital in its early years and has video of the interior of the hospital in 1989. Expectant mothers who were resident at the Ngal-a Mothercraft Home and Training Centre Inc (Ngala) between 1959 and 1980 often had their babies at the hospital.
