The State Records Office of Western Australia holds a collection of records created by the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, and it's predecessor, the Perth Children's Hospital. The collection includes a number of records relevant to children admitted to the hospital, such as admission and discharge registers, visitors books, operation journals and registers, anaesthetic registers, and orthotics registers. This collection also includes records about nurses and staffing, minutes of the board of management and hospital committees, and records about hospital buildings.

- Admission/Discharge Registers, 1958 - 1978. Contains details of children admitted to and discharged from Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, including date, name of patient, name of doctor/medical officer, diagnosis, and department/ward admitted to. This series contains two registers for casualty admissions, as well as an anaesthetic register including details of operations such as type of operation, name of surgeon, and anaesthetic administered.
