The Victorian government will unveil a permanent memorial to Victorian Forgotten Australians on 25 October 2010. The memorial, located at Southbank Promenade, recognises all Forgotten Australians who, as children, spent time in Victorian orphanages, children’s homes or foster care during the last century.

Pathways is a website of historical resources relating to the history of out-of-home ‘care’ in Victoria. Our aim is for Pathways to have an entry about every care provider in Victoria by the end of 2011.

For more information about the launch of the Victorian Forgotten Australians Memorial, including details about financial support available so that Forgotten Australians can attend the event, visit the website or call 1800 779 379.
