National Apology anniversary events

Saturday 16 November marks the 4th Anniversary of the National Apology to Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants. There are a variety of events around the country to celebrate the anniversary next week.

Tasmania

Wattle Place is holding an event at the memorial to Forgotten Australians located in the Sydney Botanic Gardens. This will involve people Forgotten Australians being transported to the gardens on the day, they will be provided with a commemorative pin, a copy of the Apology speech printed on cardboard and lunch.  There will also be a welcome and acknowledgement speech given during the event.
