Lisgar Home was established around 1970 by the Home Mission Society. It was a long term residential unit for girls aged 12 to 18. It was later run by Charlton Youth Services, later known as Anglicare Youth Services. In 2000 the program moved to a rental property in Bonnet Bay for around a year and then transitioned into a non-residential youth support program in 2002.
In 2012 the Lisgar program name still existed but the current program does not provide residential care.
