The description of the building states: The building is a large iron framed structure which is clad with corrugated galvanised iron. It is built on a concrete slab and the roof is of gabled hip form. Windows have louvres and there is a series of vents on the roof. The frame was manufactured by Dorman Long and Company of Teeside, England. Some detailing indicates earlier uses as post office/telephone exchange and hospital.
