Treacher Family Group Home, in Aspley, opened 3 July 1965. It was run by the Presbyterian Church until June 1977, when management was transferred to the Uniting Church.Children from W.R. Black Home, Chelmer were transferred to Treacher when in opened in 1965. From March 1985, the Home was known as 'Treacher'. It closed in 1995.

Treacher Family Group Home was licensed under the Children's Services Act on 5 August 1966.
