Spiritus was an Anglican community services organisation which came into being in 2006, when three organisations amalgamated: Anglican Care of the Aged (ACOTA), Anglicare (Southern Queensland) and St Luke's Nursing Service. The three organisations were part of the Anglican Community Services Commission (ACSC), which was established by the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane in 2005. Spiritus became known as Anglicare Southern Queensland in early 2012
