This act has the full title "An Act to amend the Aborigines Act 1971 and the Torres Strait Islander Act 1971, each in certain particulars" (Act no.80/1974). This act amends the Aborigines Act 1971(Act no.59/1971) and Torres Strait Islanders Act 1971 (Act no.60/1971). The amendments primarily refer to the termination of property management by Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This act was repealed by the Statute Law Revision Act 1995 (Act No.57) on 29 November 1995. This act was repealed after the acts it amends where replaced, it is therefore assumed that it applied to the subsequent legislation until 1995.
