This act with the full title "An Act to provide for Queensland's involvement in relation to the Convention on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children, and for other purposes" (Act no.57/2003) enacts the 'Hague Convention on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children in Queensland'(Quoted from the Child Protection (International Measures) Bill 2003, Explanatory Notes, 2003, page 1). For the International Hague Convention to be enacted, amendments needed to be made to the Child Protection Act 1999 (Act no.10/1999) and the Juvenile Justice Act 1992 (Act no. 44/1992). As of November 2014 this act was still in force.
