This act with the full title "An Act to amend the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 and the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000, and for related purposes" (Act no. 18/2008) expanded the exclusion of disqualified persons from applying for a blue card also known as a working with children check. This act was repealed by Acts Interpretation Act 1945 (s.22C) on 3 June 2008.
