Bonython Cottage was established by the Catholic Church in Hove in 1980. The cottage provided small group care for a limited number of teenage girls who were still attending school. Cottages run by the Catholic Church were variously staffed by Catholic Sisters, a cottage mother or married cottage parents. Most cottages provided medium to long term care rather than short term emergency care. Bonython Cottage closed in November 1987.
